Not so easy to forget about when you look at orchids, though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2336\/2253158158_439c160c4f_b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2336\/2253158158_439c160c4f_b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2336\/2253158158_439c160c4f.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p align=\"center\">*<\/p>\n<p>I went to the NH Orchid Society&#8217;s 2008 show this morning. Beaucoup fun. It was nice to see one of my favorite genera &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phragmipedium\">Phragmipedium<\/a> &#8211; well represented, and a genus I&#8217;m warming to rapidly &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paphiopedilum\">Paphiopedilum<\/a> &#8211; with a big hybrid and species presence. I have to admit that when it comes to orchids, I prefer species over hybrids.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2095\/2253133986_58b3e6fe8d_b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2095\/2253133986_58b3e6fe8d_b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2095\/2253133986_58b3e6fe8d.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p align=\"center\">*<\/p>\n<p>It seemed like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pipingrockorchids.com\/\">one vendor<\/a> just stepped off the pages of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FOrchid-Fever-Horticultural-Tale-Lunacy%2Fdp%2F0679771832%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbooks%26qid%3D1202585820%26sr%3D8-2&#038;tag=hawkdog-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325\">Orchid Fever<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" style=\"border: medium none  ! important; margin: 0px ! important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=hawkdog-20&#038;l=ur2&#038;o=1\" \/>. He had Paphiopedilum sanderianum and Chinese cymbidiums, both of which figure in the book, and has recently gone through all the assorted fun and paperwork involved with importing the first Phrag. kovachii into the country.
