  1. $7,500 for the van, $8,500 for the p/u – I’ve gotta assume they’re legal, but would also guess that there’s a certain amount of paperwork involved. These aren’t the 1st Japanese micros he’s sold – hopefully he’s got the kinks worked out.

  2. These are made in both left-hand and right-hand drive (asian and Europe markets). In asia, they’re called ‘multicabs.’ The trucks can be quickly outfitted with any number of beds (stake, passenger-seats, dump, panel-van, etc.) just by unhinging the sides and sliding new ones on. Hence, “multi”-cab. Very cheap and common. But beware, many manufacturers (asian manufacturers) build the cabs so small that typical Americans will have their knees buired in the dash. These can be difficult for even asians to drive. Almost broke my leg trying to get into my brother-in-law’s, let alone use the clutch. There are larger cabs available, but you have to look closely.
