Couldn’t agree more – the contrast betw the persistence of the Red Spot and this band disappearing over the course of a couple months – holy crap!?!?
Climate change??? The spot is just a huge storm right??? Maybe the bands are a result of some type climate condition as well?
Now now – read the article. The “belts” are merely the underlying clouds – the white upper clouds have just occluded the lower red clouds. Or, Dr. Who had something to do with it. Could go either way.
