Elizabetha, a satellite transmitter tagged tundrius peregrine, is heading my way (scroll down on the linked page to see the map). She’s currently near Moosehead Lake in Maine. Quite a few peregrines end up on the coast on their way south, but being able to follow daily movements – pretty cool.
Pictures (boys here, girls here) of a friend’s litter of Chesapeakes. Damn. Cute.

I’m curious if the Falcon travels roughly the same path year after year – using the same resting places. It would be interesting to overlay the travel lines on a year to year basis.
