Ooh, shiny.
This is a timelapse from 7am until 9pm of Typhoon Nangka hitting Hong Kong.
Check out the rain walls at 0:50, 1:10, 1:45, 4:10, lights going up at 4:30. Its interesting how the clouds change direction while the typhoon moves from the south to the north-east (camera looking north).

You noticed that too! I was waiting for the harbor traffic to stop, or at least slow down to next to nothing – no way – they have places to go, people to see.
It was really the first thing I noticed as well. Makes me thing this wasn’t that large of an event for Hong Kong (but I haven’t really done any research).
